Where It Started
We couldn't find it. So we built it.
Before Barkada, we spent years making custom hats for other businesses. When you handle that many hats, you learn fast what separates a good one from a great one. You can feel it the second you pick it up.
Then we went looking for a performance hat that could keep up with us. Hunting season, the gym, long days outside. Most of what we found looked the part on a screen and gave out after one hard sweat.
So we built our own. A hat that holds its shape through the elements, season after season, and comes back to like new when the work is done.
We come from this world. The field, the range, and the people in it. We don't need anyone to tell us what hunters and outdoorsmen want. We are them.
The Crew Lining
Made soft enough for Crew.
Our son’s name is Crew. He has Down syndrome, and like a lot of kids, he is sensitive to how things feel against his skin.
So when we chose the lining for our hats, we started with him. Smooth, light, and gentle against the skin. Soft enough that he would actually keep it on his head. The lining is not new. The reason we chose it is.
It turned out to do more than feel good. That extra layer adds protection against sweat, so every hat holds up longer. For Crew, and for the rest of the crew.
That is why every Barkada hat carries the Crew Lining.
